Ajit Pawar Urges Speedy Development in Maharashtra

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed senior officers to expedite the completion of ongoing, in-progress, and proposed development projects across Maharashtra. He emphasized the importance of adhering to scheduled timelines to ensure that citizens benefit directly from these initiatives.

In a meeting held on Thursday at Mantralaya, chaired by DCM Ajit Pawar, several key figures were present, including Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare and Chief Secretary Dr. Nitin Karir. Senior officials from Pune Metro and PMRDA joined via video conferencing.

DCM Pawar stressed the urgency of accelerating the Pune Metro Line 3 project (Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro) and initiating the Pune Ring Road construction to alleviate traffic congestion in Pune and its suburbs. He assured that necessary funds would be allocated for these critical projects.

Furthermore, he highlighted the need to expedite the establishment of a medical college in Satara and commence work on the Satara Sainik School immediately. The pending works for the ‘Revas to Redi’ Coastal Highway, which is expected to boost tourism in Konkan, should also be initiated without delay.

DCM Pawar reviewed the progress of various other significant projects, including the Government Medical College in Usar, Alibag, GST Bhavan in Wadala, Pune Nashik High-Speed Railway, and the ‘Sarathi’ Maratha community organization headquarters in Pune. Additionally, he assessed the advancement of regional sub-centers of ‘Sarathi’ in Aundh, Nashik, Kolhapur, Nagpur, and Amravati, along with projects like Krishi Bhavan in Pune, Commissionerate of Education, Kamgar Kalyan Bhavan, Sahakar Bhavan, and Registration Bhavan.
