Air Hostess on Ventilator Sexually Assualted by Hospital Staff in Gurugram

A deeply disturbing case has emerged from Gurugram, where a 46-year-old air hostess has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by hospital staff while unconscious and on a ventilator. The shocking incident is currently under active investigation by the Gurugram Police.
The air hostess, who had come to Gurugram for airline training, initially fell critically ill after a near-drowning incident at her hotel’s swimming pool. She was first admitted to a private hospital, but as her condition worsened, she was transferred to another facility in the city’s Sadar area on April 6. It is at this second hospital that the alleged assault took place.
According to the woman’s complaint, she was completely unconscious and dependent on life support when she sensed inappropriate physical contact. Unable to move or call for help, she later recalled the horrifying experience, stating that two nurses were present during the assault but did not intervene.
After being discharged on April 13, the woman informed her husband of the ordeal. The couple promptly contacted the police helpline and lodged an official complaint at the Sadar police station with assistance from their legal counsel.
Gurugram Police have confirmed that an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). “We are taking this matter very seriously,” said a police spokesperson. “Statements are being recorded, hospital staff are being questioned, and CCTV footage is being carefully reviewed.”
In response, the hospital has stated that it is fully cooperating with authorities. “No allegations have been substantiated as of now. All relevant documents and CCTV footage from the time period in question have been handed over to the police,” the hospital said in a statement.

As the investigation unfolds, the case has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over patient safety and accountability in healthcare institutions.
