Administration Takes a Big Decision
The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve has now prohibited tourist gypsies from reversing and making U-turns within the reserve. This decision comes after photos of gypsy drivers blocking the path of the T114 tigress went viral, causing outrage among wildlife enthusiasts. In response, the administration has suspended ten gypsy guides and drivers involved in the incident and imposed a fine of three thousand rupees on each vehicle owner.

The viral photo, which surfaced on Saturday, depicted tourists, a gypsy driver, and a guide at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. The image showed the T114 tigress trapped by tourists and vehicles in the core zone of the reserve. This situation highlighted serious concerns about wildlife safety in Tadoba. Following widespread anger from wildlife lovers, the Tadoba management promptly suspended ten vehicle drivers and guides, taking swift action to address the issue.
New Rules to Discipline Tourists
In light of this incident, the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve has implemented new rules to ensure the safety and discipline of tourists and wildlife. Over the past year, separate actions have been taken in 15 different cases where tourist gypsies and guides violated the rules of the National Tiger Conservation Authority. These 15 gypsies and guides have also been suspended, bringing the total number of actions taken within 48 hours to 25.
