The 13.30 km long ‘Missing Link’ aims to significantly reduce travel time and enhance safety on the busy Mumbai–Pune Expressway. This link is expected to become a vital connector, and the authorities are prioritizing careful and efficient completion of the remaining work.

Amne Node to Be Developed as a Future Industrial Powerhouse

In the same review meeting, discussions also focused on the Amne Node, which will be developed along the Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Mahamarg. Planned to mirror developments like BKC and Noida, the Amne Node will be transformed into a major industrial area with a dedicated Special Planning Authority – the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

Spanning 10,791 hectares, the Amne Node will host:

  • An industrial park
  • A logistics hub
  • An agriculture hub
  • A food processing park

This node is envisioned as a future economic engine, supporting Maharashtra’s industrial growth ambitions.

Measures to Ensure Smooth Traffic During Construction

Considering current traffic flows towards JNPA and Ahmedabad, authorities have been instructed to explore alternate routes to avoid congestion during the expressway construction. Additionally, work on the connecting Nashik highway is being expedited to ensure uninterrupted vehicle movement.
