Pune: Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol Assists Injured Couple & Tourist in Safe Return from Thailand & Andaman

Pune, March 28, 2025 – Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Pune MP, Murlidhar Mohol, played a crucial role in ensuring the safe return of an injured couple from Phuket, Thailand, and a tourist from Andaman after they met with accidents during their vacations.

Shubham Phuge and his wife Siddhi, residents of Bhosari, sustained injuries while playing on a swing in Phuket. Upon learning about the incident through a party worker, Minister Mohol immediately coordinated with airlines to arrange stretcher facilities for their flight back to Pune. The couple returned on Thursday morning and underwent surgery at Sancheti Hospital, where they are currently recovering.

In a separate incident, Shobhana Lohapatre, a tourist from Sinhagad Road, met with an accident in Andaman. Mohol facilitated an air ambulance for her, and upon arrival in Pune, a green corridor was created to ensure swift transportation to Poona Hospital, where she is now receiving treatment.

Mohol stated, “My department worked closely with the airlines to ensure proper medical arrangements were in place. Our priority was their safe and timely return.”
