The event is witnessing remarkable growth, with participation expected to soar from 200 runners in 2022 to an anticipated 800 participants this year. Runners can choose from a range of race categories tailored to various fitness levels: a 3 km Fun Run (non-competitive), competitive 5 km and 10 km races, and an Athlete on Wheels category designed for physically challenged participants. This diverse lineup aims to foster inclusivity and a vibrant community spirit among seniors.

Adding to the excitement, the marathon will be complemented by a lively cultural celebration. Senior dancers from Mumbai and Pune are set to mesmerize the crowd with their performances, celebrating the enduring spirit of vitality. Attendees will also enjoy vintage car displays, live renditions of classic songs, laughter yoga sessions, and informative health workshops at a pre-event expo scheduled for February 22.

Meenakshi Menon, Founder of GenS Life, remarked, “Each of us wants to be healthy and fit. We want to avoid the aches and pains of age. That’s why we want to encourage seniors to start moving. The pride I see in our 60+ participants is incredible. They’re not just running a race; they’re showing the world that vitality knows no age limits nor bounds.”

Participants will be rewarded with finisher medals, e-certificates, and goodie bags, along with special prizes across various age categories—from 60-64 years up to 85+ years. Additional features include time chip tracking and dedicated refreshment stations throughout the course to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Registration is now open, with entry fees set at Rs. 400 for the 3 km category, Rs. 600 for the 10 km race, and Rs. 200 for family members joining the participants. Runners and enthusiasts alike are encouraged to register early and be part of this inspiring movement celebrating fitness, culture, and community.
