Vespa Unveils The 125cc Compact Urban Commute Scooter Starting at Rs. 1.32 Lakh
Vespa has unveiled its updated 2025 125cc portfolio specifically for the Indian market, a move that is sure to thrill both scooter aficionados and urban commuters. This series, which will be available at dealerships starting February 25, skillfully combines Vespa’s classic Italian style with cutting-edge technology.
The new range is divided into four different models, starting with the feature-rich Vespa S Tech at Rs 1.96 lakh and ending with an appealing entry-level model priced at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom). A carefully chosen assortment of colors is included with each variation. For example, the standard model comes in seven different colors, including creative pairings like Orange and Pearl White and Blue and Pearl White, while the Vespa S option provides eight custom finishes, including glossy and matte.
One of the highlights of the new collection is the launch of the Tech series. This version is unquestionably a nod to the future thanks to innovations like keyless ignition, a 5-inch TFT digital dashboard, integrated Bluetooth with navigation, and a wide variety of LED lights—all firsts for the brand. The S Tech variant is available in elegant Nero Black (Matte) and Pearl White, while the base Tech trim is available in striking hues including Energico Blue, Grigio Grey, and Special Edition Qala.
The Vespa 125’s stylish design is powered by its robust single-cylinder engine. This engine’s 9.38 horsepower at 7100 rpm and 10.1 Nm of torque at 5600 rpm provide for a swift and spirited ride through congested metropolitan streets. The scooter’s small dimensions of 1170 mm in length, 690 mm in width, 1290 mm in wheelbase, and 770 mm in seat height are designed to offer the perfect mix of speed and stability when traveling on the road.
While the 125cc models are now the main emphasis, Vespa has teased a 150cc line in the future, which has excited its devoted fan base.
