The initiative, backed by the Commissioner of Police, Pune City, provides students with hands-on experience in understanding traffic challenges, policy implementation, and the integration of technology in traffic management. Over 70 students from prestigious institutions like Lexicon MILE, Symbiosis School of Economics, Cybage, and Indira School of Business Studies are participating in the program.

During the internship, students visited various divisions of the Pune Traffic Police Department, including Planning, Administration, CCTV, Multimedia, Computer, and Reader sections. They also toured the Adaptive Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) center on Sinhagad Road, where they learned about real-time traffic monitoring, accident prevention, and intelligent traffic control systems.

A key highlight of the program was a visit to a busy intersection in Pune, where students witnessed traffic law enforcement in action. Police officials demonstrated actions against violations such as fancy number plates, overspeeding, triple-seat riding on two-wheelers, and driving in the wrong direction. Students were also briefed on the role of CCTV surveillance, e-challan systems, towing machines, speed guns, and interceptor vehicles in ensuring road safety.

Additionally, Dr. Shyam Gaikwad from Jehangir Hospital conducted a first-aid training session, teaching students and police personnel how to provide immediate medical assistance during road accidents or medical emergencies.
