In an ongoing crackdown against illegal constructions and encroachments, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has carried out another round of demolition in the Kudalwadi area of Chikhali.

Over the last two days, the PCMC’s anti-encroachment department demolished more than 800 illegal scrap godowns, industrial units, and unauthorized structures spread across 200 acres.

On Sunday, the Building Permit and Unauthorized Construction Control Department, along with regional teams, razed 68.78 lakh square feet of illegal constructions, bringing down 607 unauthorized structures. This follows the demolition of 222 illegal constructions the previous day. In total, 829 illegal sheds, factories, godowns, and scrap shops have been removed during this two-day drive.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaube and Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh. The PCMC has warned that such actions will continue against illegal constructions built on reserved land and development roads. Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil has urged people to voluntarily remove their machinery and materials to avoid losses and cooperate with the authorities.
