Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has issued a stern warning against the rising trend of hit-and-run incidents in the state, emphasizing that no one, regardless of their status or influence, will be spared from the consequences.

In a recent statement, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed deep alarm over the increasing number of hit-and-run cases across Maharashtra. Highlighting the misuse of power and influence by some individuals to manipulate the system, he made it unequivocally clear that such miscarriages of justice would not be tolerated under his administration.

“The lives of ordinary citizens are precious to us,” Shinde stated, reaffirming his commitment to the safety and security of the public. He revealed that he had directed the State Police department to handle these cases with utmost seriousness to ensure that justice is served. Additionally, he announced the implementation of stricter laws and harsher penalties for hit-and-run offenders to curb this alarming trend.

“No one, whether rich, influential, or the offspring of bureaucrats or ministers, affiliated with any party, will have immunity as long as I am the Chief Minister of the State,” he declared. “I have zero tolerance for injustice.”

Chief Minister Shinde’s administration is taking a firm stance, prioritizing the protection of victims and their families. “Let it be clear: my administration stands firmly with the victims and their families. We are committed to creating a safer Maharashtra for all its citizens,” he added.

The Chief Minister’s statement comes in the wake of several high-profile hit-and-run cases that have caused public outrage and concern. By pledging stringent action and policy changes, Shinde aims to restore public confidence and ensure that the law applies equally to all, irrespective of their social or political standing.
