In a tragic incident, a youth named Swapnil Dhavande lost his life after jumping into the Plus Valley waterfall in Tamhini Ghat, Pune. The accident occurred on June 29, and after a two-day search, his body was recovered.

Swapnil, who had come to Tamhini Ghat with 32 friends from his gym, jumped into the waterfall in a moment of excitement. Unable to manage the strong water currents, he fell and drowned.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing Swapnil jumping into the waterfall, struggling to hold onto a rock, and eventually being swept away by the current.

The local police have confirmed the accident and are conducting further investigations. This incident came to light just 24 hours after another tragic accident where five family members were swept away in the Bhushi Dam area of Lonavala.
