Pune: Direct Flights to Bhopal, Indore, and Sindhudurg Start from Pune Airport
Pune, October 02, 2024: In a boost to air connectivity for Punekars, direct flights from Pune to Bhopal and Indore will begin on October 27. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge shared this update on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting a major improvement in Pune-Madhya Pradesh connectivity.
Landge stated that daily flights to Bhopal and an additional afternoon flight to Indore will be operated by domestic carrier IndiGo. He credited the Pune MP and MoS Civil Aviation Minister, Murlidhar Mohol, for making these services possible. Landge also emphasized that this enhanced connectivity would foster significant growth in the industrial sectors of both regions.
In another development, Pune is now connected to the Konkan region via air for the first time. Direct flights to Sindhudurg, operated by FLY91, have commenced from Pune Airport. These flights gained traction during Ganeshotsav, with many residents from the Konkan region using the service to travel to their ancestral homes for the festivities. This new route strengthens Pune’s connection with the Konkan region and marks a key development in regional air travel.
