Pune, September 30, 2024: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai has forecasted dry weather for Pune until October 4. While this forecast ends on October 4, it does not imply an immediate onset of rain after this date. The outlook only covers the current forecast period.

Aside from Pune, most districts in Maharashtra are also expected to experience dry weather. However, districts of Konkan, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur districts may see light to moderate rainfall during this period.

As of September 30, the IMD noted that conditions are becoming favorable for the further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh over the next two to three days.

In terms of temperature, Mahabaleshwar recorded the lowest temperature in Maharashtra at 17.2°C, while Akola reported the highest at 35°C.
