Pune: PM Modi to Inaugurate Pune Metro’s Shivajinagar to Swargate Route on September 29

Pune, September 27, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the highly anticipated Pune Metro’s Shivajinagar to Swargate underground route on September 29, 2024.

Due to heavy rains, PM Modi’s earlier visit to Pune for the event was canceled. Despite this, the inauguration will proceed virtually, as confirmed by Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Pune Lok Sabha MP.

During the event, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the extension of the Pune Metro from Swargate to Katraj. This stretch is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the city.

The Shivajinagar District Court to Swargate metro stretch is part of the broader expansion of Pune Metro, aimed at providing an efficient and fast transport solution for residents. The ceremony will include the virtual presence of various dignitaries, such as Amit Shah and other prominent leaders.

This expansion is expected to offer major relief to commuters in Pune, especially in managing the city’s increasing traffic issues.
