Pune Metro: New Underground Line to Be Inaugurated

During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate a new underground Metro corridor running from the Civil Court to Swargate, extending the Pune Metro rail services. This new phase, part of the PCMC-Swargate line, will ease commutation for passengers across the city. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an elevated route, which will further enhance the connectivity in Pune.

The PCMC-Swargate Metro corridor spans 17.4 kilometers and includes 14 stations. Starting from September 26, the section between District Court and Swargate will be operational, allowing seamless commutation between key areas like Budhwar Peth and Manda. There are plans for future extensions, including routes from PCMC to Nigdi and Swargate to Katraj.

According to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, PM Modi is also expected to address rallies during his visit.
