Pune: Vehicle falls off Bopodi bridge, severe waterlogging in Hinjawadi, Ajit Pawar Reviews Situation
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited the emergency control room at Mantralaya today to review the severe heavy rain and flood situation affecting Mumbai, Pune, and Thane. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure coordination and cooperation for immediate rescue and relief efforts.
In other developments, a vehicle fell from the Bopodi bridge, and severe waterlogging has been reported in Hinjewadi.

In a message from the Pune Police Commissioner, it was noted that due to incessant rains, all Police Station and Traffic Branch Officers and staff are actively patrolling the streets. Senior officers are also monitoring their areas to ensure that assistance reaches citizens as quickly as possible. The message highlighted the imminent dangers, including flooding, structural collapses, fallen trees, waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and the risk of citizens getting stranded.
The police are in constant communication with Disaster Management Authorities, PCMC, MSEB, and other relevant agencies to provide timely assistance. Citizens are urged to call 112 or 95296 91966 for any help they might need.
