The work on the Civil Court to Swargate phase of Pune Metro is nearing completion, with the Swargate Metro Station almost ready. Minister of State Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol shared this exciting update today, posting photographs and highlighting the significance for Pune citizens.
Key Highlights:
- Metro Extension to Swargate: This extension is crucial as it links major public transport hubs in the city, including MSRTC bus terminuses, railway stations, and PMPML bus terminuses.
- Ganeshotsav Benefits: If the Metro services are operational till Swargate before Ganeshotsav, it will greatly benefit the festival attendees. Ganeshotsav typically ends around mid-September.
- Important Timing: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) expects the announcement of the state assembly elections shortly after Ganeshotsav. Extending Metro services to Swargate before the election code is enforced would be advantageous for commuters.
