Organizing a party? No problem, Zomato gears up to cater to orders for gatherings up to 50 people, check details
Zomato has introduced a new way to deliver large orders. The company CEO Deepinder Goyal, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), announced “India’s first large order fleet” that is designed to handle group orders.
“Today, we are excited to introduce India’s first large order fleet, designed to handle all your large (group/party/event) orders with ease. This is an all electric fleet, designed specifically to serve orders for a gathering of up to 50 people,” Goyal said in a post.
Highlighting the challenges customers and even delivery partners faced with delivery options for large orders, Goyal said that the new vehicles should solve most of the problems.

The vehicles will have a capacity to serve gatherings of up to 50 people. He added that the fleet will be all-electric, signifying the company’s focus on sustainability in food delivery services.
How Zomato managed large orders previously
Previously, such large orders were delivered by multiple delivery partners, often resulting in underwhelming experiences.
“Such large orders were earlier served by multiple regular fleet delivery partners, and the customer experience wasn’t what we really aspired for. These new vehicles should solve most of the problems our customers face while placing large orders on Zomato,” Goyal added.
Goyal said that the new fleet is a “work in progress,” and the company is working to add important enhancements — like cooling compartments and hot boxes — to the vehicles.
“Having said that, these vehicles are still ‘work in progress’, and we are in the process of adding important enhancements to them – like cooling compartments, and hot boxes with temperature control – to ensure everything arrives just the way you like,” he said.
