Pune: Citizens raise concerns over deteriorating road conditions between Pashan and University Chowk
Pashan, a bustling suburb of Pune, known for its lush greenery and pleasant climate is under scrutiny for the poor road quality between Pashan Circle and University Chowk, especially near Abhimanshree Chowk.
The stretch of road near Abhimanshree Chowk is rough and uneven. Potholes are unevenly repaired and the there is a lot of loose gravel which poses risk to motorists especially two wheeler riders. With Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro work going on, frequent traffic diversions are made and Pashan road has to serve as the single connection between Pashan/Baner and the University Chowk.
Additional traffic and poor patch of road, make driving on this road not only difficult but also risky. The citizens are calling for an immediate action to address the issue.
One citizen, Sagar Samel took to ‘X’ to express his concern. He wrote, “when will the Pashan Road at Abhimanshri Junction be fixed. Even from University to Pashan Circle there are many uneven patch work, broken road, loose Gravel. A road which was once known for its quality is now in shambles, need a quality fix.”
This road was once known for its quality and the beauty of drive with its lush green surroundings, old trees and iconic institutions on its sides.
A little attention from the civic authorities can bring it back to its former glory. Citizens seek an immediate action to improve the quality of this road.
