Maharashtra Weather: Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely, many districts on yellow and orange alert
Starting June 20, Maharashtra weather is going bring heavy to very heavy rainfall with many districts in the state placed on yellow and orange alert.
Districts with Orange Alert – Heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightening at some places
Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Amravati, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Nagpur and Yavatmal.
Districts with Yellow Alert – Heavy rainfall at some places
All the districts of Maharashtra except the ones listed in green alert below, have yellow alert on some days in the next five days. The only exception is Palghar, which is on orange alert on June 20 and green thereafter.
Districts with Green Alert – Light to moderate rain
Nashik, Dhule and Nandurbar will experience mild weather with light to moderate rain. Weather alert level for these districts is green for the next five days.
Mumbai Weather: Mumbai will witness relatively calm weather with heavy rain on June 20 and light to moderate rain thereafter. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32°C and 26°C.
Pune Weather: Heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32°C and 22°C.
Monsoon 2024 Update
Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Northwest Bay of Bengal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and some parts of Bihar.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon passes through 20.5°N/60°E, 20.5″N/63″E, 20.5°N/70°E, Navsari, Jalgaon, Amravati, Gondia. Durg, Rampur (Kalahandi), 19.5°N/86.5°E. 23°N/89.5″E, Malda, Bhagalpur and Raxaul.
Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat State, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Northwest Bay of Bengal, some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub- Himalayan West Bengal, some parts of Jharkhand, some more parts of Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 3-4 days.
