IMD predicts heavy rain in some Maharashtra districts, check details
Monsoon seems to have taken an extended break in the the state with only a light rain witnessed occasionally.
The break in monsoon activity has also resulted in rise in temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius causing heat and humidity.
Many weather experts are signaling rival of rains by 22-23 June in the state.
Meanwhile the Regional Meteorological Center Mumbai has predicted heavy rain in following districts:
- Thane – 19 June
- Mumbai – 19 June
- Raigad – 18-21 June
- Ratnagiri – 18-21 June
- Raigad – 18-21 June
- Sindhudurg – 17-21 June
- Pune – 17-21 June (Ghat areas)
- Kolhapur – 21 June
- Satara – 17-21 June
Rest of the districts will witness moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightening.
