Horrific Accident in Akola claims lives of five including family members of MLA Kiran Sarnaik
Five people were killed in an accident in Akola
A horrific accident took place in Maharashtra’s Akola district involving two vehicles in a head on collision. Five people have been reported killed including MLA Kiran Sarnaik’s family members.
This accident took place in Patur of Akola district. Sarnaik’s nephew Raghuveer Sarnaik was killed in this accident. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Akola.
This accident is a result of a head on collision between two cars. Kiran Sarnaik’s brother, nephews, daughter and grand daughter were traveling in the car at the time of accident. The collision was so severe that both cars were crushed to pieces. Police have taken the bodies for postmortem and have initiated an investigation into the accident.
According to police, two cars on Washim road collided head on with each other. Kiran Sarnaik’s nephew Raghuveer Sarnaik (28) died in this accident. A total of five people died, including Shivaji Amle (age 30), Siddharth Yashwant Ingle (age 35) and a nine-month-old baby.
Three people were injured in this accident. These include Piyush Deshmukh (age 11), Sapna Deshmukh and Shreyas Ingle.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital and are undergoing treatment. On getting information about the accident, the villagers rushed to help. Ambulance and police were immediately notified of the accident. A rescue operation was started after the police reached the spot. Injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital.
