Tata Altroz Racer: India’s Cheapest Car with Ventilated Seats
In recent times, ventilated seats have seen a surge in popularity due to rising temperatures and frequent heat waves. This has led to a growing demand for cars equipped with this comfort feature. Tata Motors has responded to this need with the launch of the Tata Altroz Racer, now the most affordable car in India to offer ventilated seats.
Tata Altroz Racer: Affordable Comfort and Performance
The Tata Altroz Racer garnered significant attention at the 2023 Auto Expo for its promised performance. Despite the wait, Tata Motors has now delivered on its promise, launching the Altroz Racer in India. This hot hatch not only meets performance expectations but also includes a first-in-segment feature: ventilated front seats. With this addition, the Tata Altroz Racer becomes the cheapest car in India to offer ventilated seats, available in its top R3 variant priced at Rs 12.86 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It is the second vehicle under Rs 15 lakh to offer this feature, the other being the Tata Punch EV.
Additional Features
Beyond ventilated seats, the Altroz Racer is packed with new features. These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-speaker surround sound system, a 360-degree camera, and a wireless phone charger, among others.
Under the Hood
The Altroz Racer is powered by the Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission. While some expected a 7-speed DCA option, the manual transmission is the only one available.
Pricing
The Tata Altroz Racer is priced between Rs 10.91 lakh and Rs 12.86 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it an attractive option for those seeking a blend of performance and innovative features at an affordable price.
