Helicopter meant to pick up Shiv Sena Leader Sushma Andhare crashes in Maharashtra
A helicopter meant to pickup Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare crashed just before landing in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.
Raigad, May 03, 2024: A helicopter that came to pickup Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare for a pubic rally, dangerously tilted, wobbled and went out of control before crashing at around 9.30 am in Mahad, a town in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.
The pilots jumped from the helicopter at the last minute and both of them are safe though they are reported to have sustained injuries.

The hired blue and white helicopter to ferry the leader was badly damaged in the crash. As per the live video of the crash, the helicopter wobbled in air, lost control and crashed on ground amid a huge cloud of dust and loud sound.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and Sushma Andhare, who was scheduled to fly the same helicopter proceeded for her election related rallies and meetings in a car.
