Pune: Massive fire breaks out in a factory in Kalewadi, PCMC
A massive fire broke out at a factory godown in a residential area in Kalewadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad around 10 am today.
It is being reported that the fire started due to a cylinder blast in a factory godown and six nearby factories also suffered massive damage in this fire.
The fire department promptly reached the spot and started dousing the fire, preventing further damage.

The factory where the fire started manufactured paper plates and clothes. Numerous cylinder blasts were heard from the scene but it is not clear whether the cylinder blasts caused the fire or the fire caused the cylinder blasts.
Thick black smoke engulfed the area, making it difficult for the residents to breathe. Fortunately no casualty or injury has been reported from the scene of accident so far.
