Pune: Man climbs a tall mango tree to pluck mangoes, becomes unconscious, rescued by fire brigade
A man climbed a mango tree in Pune to pluck mangoes but fell unconscious and had to be rescued by fire brigade.
Pune, May 01, 2024: A man weighing 100 kg climbed a tall mango tree to pluck mangoes but fell unconscious. The branches of the tree prevented his fall to the ground. Fire brigade was informed and they swiftly carried out an operation to safely rescue the stranded man.
Tempted to pluck mangoes from a mango tree, the person climbed the tree and somehow fell unconscious. He got stuck in the dense branches of the tree and when a passerby noticed him hanging from the tree, he immediately informed the fire brigade.

This incident happened yesterday at around 4 pm on a tree behind Krishna Hospital on Paud Road, Kothrud. When the fire brigade got a call, they quicky reached the spot and realized that the man was dangerously hanging from the tree. They attached a ladder and the firemen climbed the tree. All their attempts to communicate with the person failed as he was still unconscious. They attached a belt to the victim and tied him with ropes and brought him safely down.
He was sent to a hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.
