Police have detained the owner and manager of the TRP Game Zone, and the State Government has assigned the investigation to a Special Investigation Team.

A horrific fire tragedy in Rajkot’s play or game zone has claimed the lives of at least 33 people. According to reports, the fire started while welding.

The four-year-old sprawling amusement park was constructed in temporary structures with tin roofs and two stories.

On May 26, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi assessed the situation at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot.

Members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) met with the local administration in Rajkot, Gujarat. The bodies were burned beyond recognition. They stated that DNA samples from the bodies and relatives of the victims had been collected for the purpose of identifying the deceased.

The state government has formed a probe team to determine whether the game zone possessed the necessary licenses from the authorities.
