Viral Video: Police jeep barges into AIIMS Rishikesh’s emergency ward to arrest sexual assault accused

A video of a police jeep entering the emergency ward at AIIMS Rishikesh has gone viral on social media, raising questions. According to reports, police drove the vehicle to the fourth floor of AIIMS Rishikesh to apprehend a suspect accused of sexual harassment.
The 26-second video, which is quickly going viral on social media, shows a police car driving through a crowded emergency ward. As the car approaches the emergency ward, security officials can be seen pushing stretchers with patients out of the way to make room for the jeep. The car zooms past, with several police officers inside.

According to Hindustan, Sandeep Kumar Singh, AIIMS Rishikesh’s public relations officer, stated that he was unaware of how the police vehicle entered and exited the AIIMS premises. He stated that further information would be provided following an investigation.
According to the outlet, Vinesh Kumar, the in-charge of the AIIMS outpost, explained that they took the route indicated by AIIMS security. He questioned why it was a problem if they left through the emergency ward.
Satish Kumar, a nursing officer, was detained by police after a junior resident doctor accused him of molestation while on duty in the trauma surgery unit. He also sent her an obscene SMS, Rishikesh Kotwali SHO Shankar Singh Bisht told PTI.
The sexual harassment incident outraged resident doctors at AIIMS Rishikesh, who demanded the nursing officer’s immediate termination rather than a suspension. They held a protest outside the Dean of Academics’ office on Monday, shouting slogans. Following their protest, a case was filed against the accused in Rishikesh Kotwali.
