70-Year-Old Morning Walker Killed in Pune Hit-and-Run Accident
Pune, April 20, 2025 – A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 70-year-old morning walker on Marunji-Kasarsai Road near the Arnav Car Care Centre early Friday morning. The victim, identified as Ram Krushna Sinha, a resident of Marunji Gaon, was struck by a speeding motorcycle around 6 am.
According to a complaint filed by his son, Gopal Krushna Sinha, the elderly man was hit from behind by an unidentified biker while on his morning walk. The impact caused severe head injuries, leading to his unfortunate demise.
The Hinjawadi Police Station has registered a case against the unknown motorcyclist under Sections 281 and 106 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as well as Sections 184, 119/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Authorities are actively working to trace the accused.
This incident highlights the growing concerns over road safety, especially for pedestrians and senior citizens. Police have urged witnesses to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.
