Pune: Traffic diversions in Hinjawadi on account of Gramdev Mahtoba Deva Yatra

Pune/Hinjawadi: The Yatra of Gramdev Mhatoba Deva in Hinjawadi village is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 23, with a traditional procession set to begin around 4 pm.

Approximately 40,000 to 50,000 devotees  are expected to attend this event. As a result, Hinjawadi transport department has made changes to the traffic in Hinjawadi and Wakad to accommodate the influx of visitors and to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

1. Tata T Chowk to Wakad Naka

Alternate route – The traffic coming from Wipro Circle Phase 02 towards Wakad Naka via Shivaji Chowk will proceed from Tata T Junction Chowk towards Lakshmi Chowk-Bhumkar Chowk route to reach the desired destination.

2. From Geometric Circle to Wakad Naka

Alternate route – The traffic going from Geometric Circle towards Wakad Naka via Shivaji Chowk will take the Meza 9 Chowk route and proceed through Lakshmi Chowk- Bhumkar Chowk to reach the desired destination.

3. From Shivaji Chowk to Bhumkar Chowk

Alternate route – The traffic going from Shivaji Chowk towards Bhumkar Chowk will take the Indian Oil Chowk route via Wakad Gaon to reach the desired destination.

4. From Indian Oil Chowk to Vinode Wasti Chowk

Alternate route – The traffic going from Indian Oil Chowk towards Vinode Wasti via Kasturi Chowk will take the Shivaji Chowk and Wakad Gaon route to reach the desired destination.

5. From Indian Oil Chowk to Wakad Naka, Sayaji Underpass

Alternate route – The traffic going from Indian Oil Chowk towards Wakad Naka, Sayaji Underpass will take the Wakad Bridge/Wakad Gaon route to reach the desired destination.

6. From Mula River Bridge Puncture to Wakad Naka (Bhujbal Chowk)

Alternate route – The traffic going from Mula River Bridge Puncture towards Wakad Naka via Service Road will take the straight Highway route via Bhumkar Chowk to reach the desired destination.

7. From Marunji Y Junction to Kasturi Chowk and Shivaji Chowk

Alternate route – Traffic coming from Bhumkar Chowk will continue straight towards Kasturi Chowk, take a right turn at Marunji Y Junction and move towards Lakshmi Chowk via Vinode Vasti Road and proceed to desired destination from there. Similarly, for traffic from Vinode Vasti heading towards Kasturi Chowk will continue straight to Shivaji Chowk via Indian Oil Chowk.

These traffic changes will be in effect from Tuesday, April 23 afternoon until 10 pm. Commuters are advised to check the diversions before venturing out in the Hinjawadi Wakad area to avoid any inconvenience.
