MSEDCL to install free smart prepaid meters in Pune from this month.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL) will install smart prepaid meters at no cost to consumers, said Pune Circle Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar. Set to launch in March, this initiative will revolutionize the way electricity is billed and monitored, eliminating the need for manual meter reading, bill preparation, and distribution.

The new meters will provide a seamless billing experience by streamlining processes and increasing consumer convenience. These advanced meters enable users to recharge their electricity online, offering real-time updates on electricity consumption and the remaining balance. This feature not only provides transparency but also gives consumers the power to manage their electricity usage and expenses more effectively.

Moreover, to ensure uninterrupted power supply, consumers are required to complete the recharge process by 10 AM the following day. The convenient online recharge can be done using mobile devices, allowing users to monitor their consumption, plan their usage, and budget efficiently.
