Mumbai airport to remain closed for six hours on May 09, plan your travel accordingly
Mumbai airport will remain closed for flight operations from 11.00 am to 05.00 pm on May 09, 2024 for runway repairs. Both the runways will be non operational during this period, halting all the flight operations during this duration.
In a press release, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) spokesperson said that as part of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s (CSMIA) monsoon contingency plan, both the runways – RWY 09/27 and 14/32 – will remain temporarily non-operational on 09th May, 2024, for pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work. The temporary closure will be from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs and a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued in this regard. All operations will resume as usual on 09th May, 2024, post 17:00 hrs.
On 9th May, both the runways of #MumbaiAirport will remain temporarily non-operational on the account of pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs.

The scheduled temporary runway closure is a yearly practice and the contingency plan on the same will help maintain operational continuity and ensure passengers’ safety. Passengers are requested to check with their respective airlines about their flights scheduled for 09th May, 2024.
